Since 1988 Vista EAP has provided Corporate Training and Seminars on a wide variety of topics:  Management and Leadership, Employee Wellness and Development and Educational Lectures on numerous topics ranging from Sexual Harassment and Workplace Violence to Healthy Lifestyle Initiatives (Quitting Smoking, Stress Management, Depression, Nutrition and Fitness, Coping with Chronic Pain) and Personal and Family issues (Raising Boys and Girls, Coping for Caregivers, Healthy Relationships, Strategies for Coping with Teens) as well as Employee/Manager Development (Performance Appraisals, Behavioral Interviews, Leadership Skills Motivation and Morale, Coping with Change, Diversity and Respect and Positive Interaction in the Workplace).  I enjoy public speaking and am an informative, interesting and dynamic speaker.

Critical Incident Stress Debriefings

I began my training in grief and trauma therapies working with Vietnam Veterans in 1984. I received my Certified Trauma Specialist training through the Jeffrey Mitchell Model in 1984. I have provided over a hundred hours of Critical Incident Services for multiple companies and workplaces. My work through 911 and Hurricanes Andrew and Rita were formative, powerful experiences that illuminated the strength and resilience of people in the midst of the most difficult of life circumstances.

I have worked extensively with first responders, and service men and women, companies and individual adversely impacted by national as well as personal tragedies.

Employee Assistance Programs 

Vista EAP and Counseling was  founded to meet the needs of national Employee Assistance Firms. Vista EAP provides EAP services to local businesses and has been the premier provider of a comprehensive range of EAP services including evaluation, assessment, short term counseling and referral services, Management Consulting, Employee Wellness Programs and Trauma Services.  I employed and supervised over twelve (12) consultant/therapists from 1988 - 2009. (CEAP 1988 - 2009).   Some of Vista's long standing partners are NEAS now Empathia, Cigna, Magellan, Value Options, ComPsych, United Behavioral Health, Perspectives EAP & The Wellness Corporation, American Automobile Association, Orlando Utilities, Lockheed Martin, Disney, Channel Intelligence, Bright House Networks, Progress Energy, FEMA, Raytheon, Law Firms, Healthcare Organizations and State and Local Governments.

Studies show that employees that utilize their confidential EAP benefits are much more likely to address and resolve conflicts before these issues negatively impact their job performance. At the same time, it can have a positive effect on an employee’s efficiency, health and productivity.
